7- Day Botswana Magic and Incredible Victoria Falls

Overview

 

This amazing tour starts in the adventure capital- The Victoria Falls and head to Botswana's Chobe National Park before the final destination - the Okavango Delta. Chobe National Park hosts the largest herd of elephants and other animals including the cats. Okavango delta is known for its sprawling grassy plains, which flood seasonally, becoming a lush animal habitat.

This accommodated safari forms a semi - circular route around the Okavango Delta, starting in Maun and ending in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Botswana Magic and Incredible Victoria Falls Safari offer a great adventurous trip through the largest inland delta in the world then the journey takes us into Zimbabwe, home to one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the mighty Victoria Falls. Have the opportunity to view the falls on a guided tour through the Victoria Falls National Park. Detailed Itinerary

 

Day 1:Chobe National Park

 

You get picked up from the resort town of Victoria Falls at 09: 00am and head north towards Kasane, a village on the edge of Chobe National Game Reserve. Time is spent in the Northern Chobe, a park which is incredibly rich in game due to the Chobe River providing water all year round. Large herds of elephant are frequently seen walking to and from the river. Due to the high density of herbivores in this area many predators, such as lions and leopards, can be found

Day 2:Chobe National Park

 

Early start today with a cup of coffee and embark on a morning game drive safari. Experience exciting game drives and feel awed by the beauty of Africa on wonderful boat safaris on the majestic Chobe River. Marvel at the beautiful afternoon light and the reflection of the sun as you peacefully glide over the river while enjoying your favorite drink and observing hundreds of elephants along the shores of the river – bathing, drinking, playing and cajoling. This is one of the most memorable safari experiences you will ever have!

Day 3-Elephant Sands

 

Today after breakfast, we will bid farewell to the Chobe National Park for a drive to Elephant Sands Private Game Reserve. We will have an amazing experience of seeing elephants up close and personal from the bar patio or the front porch of the chalets surrounding the waterhole.

Day 4:Maun Town

 

After breakfast we take a 4-hour drive to Maun passing through Makgadikgadi National Park viewing more game. We get to Maun in time for Lunch. We we'll arrive at our hotel in the afternoon with enough time to embark on an optional activity (Flight over the Okavango delta.

Day 5:Bush Overnight Experience-Option of  Moremi game reserve and Okavango Delta

After an early breakfast today, we will leave the hotel for a 2-day 1 night Safari in the either Moremi game reserve or Okavango Delta. There is no better way of coming closer to hippos.Experience the lush animal habitat of Moremi. Meals served in the middle of the delta while observing different animals coming for a drink or just exploring their world before an overnight camping Safari.

Day 6: Nata- Makgadikgadi Salt Pans

 

The Makgadikgadi Pan, a salt pan situated in the middle of the dry savanna of north-eastern Botswana, is one of the largest salt flats in the world. The pan is all that remains of the formerly enormous Lake Makgadikgadi, which once covered an area larger than Switzerland, but dried up tens of thousands of years ago

Day 7-Victoria Falls- The Smoke That Thunders ( Mosi oa Tunya)

 

We will depart the Salt Pans today and drive back to the adventure Capital of Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls, where we wrap up our safari on arrival.
There are a myriad of activities to choose from to perfectly wrap up the safari or an airport drop-off for those wishing to fly back home.

Prices are in USD and exclude international flights. This trip price is based on low season and high season rates for accommodation and other applicable services, and may change depending on availability, currency fluctuations and number of people traveling together.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Tour Reservation

 

A deposit of 30% of the tour price is required for reservation confirmation. Reservation will automatically cancel if the deposit is not received by Africa Uncovered Safaris within 14 days after reservation. Final (70%) payment of the total tour price must be paid 21 days before start of the safari.

 

Travel Documents:

It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure that they possess the necessary travel documentation for the tour, such as a valid passport. In general a passport should be valid at least 6 months beyond the end of your journey and have two clear pages for each country to be visited to allow for entry and exit stamps en-route or for any visas. Your journey may require a visa for your country’s passport. If you are transiting or stopping elsewhere on your journey, other visas may be required. Africa uncovered Safaris is able to organise and coordinate visas if required. If you plan to visit other countries, some do require visas in advance and proof of travel insurance

 

Travel Insurance

  • Comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance is mandatory on the tour. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that he or she has such insurance in place (together with the required paperwork to prove such insurance) before embarking on the tour.

  • The client acknowledges that travel insurance must include comprehensive medical insurance including provision for air evacuation, and that the Company shall not be liable for any consequences, damages or loss as a result of the client failing to have the necessary cover.

 

Cancellation Policy:

 

  • Cancellation 30days before the scheduled date: no penalty

  • Cancellation 14- 29days before the scheduled date: 70% penalty on the tour cost

  • Cancellation 1-13days before the scheduled date: 95% penalty on the tour cost
